Warmer weather is here, and it's only going to get hotter as summer approaches. And although you don't have to have warm weather to enjoy a milkshake, that's usually a great time to indulge! There's no shortage of great places to grab a creamy shake, but where is the best milkshake spot in Georgia and South Carolina?

The Hunt for the Best Milkshake Spot

The website LoveFood.com did a study recently to find the best milkshake in each state. And we're wondering... how do you get THAT job? It's no surprise that they found every state has a great selection of delicious, creamy milkshake goodness!

Not only did the site find the best milkshake spots in Georgia and South Carolina, but they also gave their recommendation on which flavor to try!

Georgia

So, according to this study, the best milkshake spot in Georgia is Leopold's Ice Cream in Savannah. And from their research, LoveFood.com says you have to "go off-menu to get the best milkshake in the Hostess City of the South."

Although they say none of the shakes will disappoint, they do recommend chocolate lovers ask for their chocolate milkshake "Savannah Dan-style." It's described as a "sweet explosion made with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup."

Leopold's Ice Cream has been around since 1919, and you'll find them at 212 East Broughton Street in Savannah.

South Carolina

The study recommends Charleston Creamery for the best milkshake in South Carolina.  They are a small, locally owned small business and described as a "friendly, modern parlor just west of Charleston."

As for the best milkshake to order... you can't go wrong with an Oreo milkshake.  And at Charleston Creamery, you'll want to order the Double Oreo.  That's right, twice the Oreo goodness! Other flavor recommendations are the Banana Pudding, Espresso, and Mint Choc Chip.

Charleston Creamery is located at 3642 Savannah Highway, Suite 144, in Johns Island, South Carolina.

And now that we're craving milkshakes... and the best milkshake spot in Georgia and South Carolina has been found... who wants to pay us to research the best milkshakes in the CSRA?

Best Burgers In The Augusta Area

I am on the hunt for the Best Burgers in the Augusta Area! A good hamburger or cheeseburger is always one of my favorite meals. Of course, it all begins with the meat, but the bun, toppings, and some extras make a good burger a great burger.  Everyone loves them! Even health-conscious Tim McGraw loves a good burger.

As many of you know, I grew up in the restaurant business. My parents owned a few restaurants, and burgers were our biggest sellers, which is still the case today in many places. One of Georgia's best hamburger joints is actually a gas station in Dunwoody. It's NFA Burger and I may have to try this one soon.

But this is all about local. The Best Burgers In The Augusta Area. There are many places that can make the list, and I plan on making another new list in 2023. Email me your favorite place now at Tee Gentry.

We'll spotlight your favorite burger places right here as soon as we get ten or so for the 2023 list.

Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order. Have you tried any of these?

Enjoy your weekend and go out and get a good burger!
