Thomson Eatery Gets New Name Under New Ownership
Highrail Southern Eatery on Main Street in Thomson will soon get a new name. This Thomson eatery opened five years ago, but they were recently bought out. According to The McDuffie Progress, Mark Herbert, owner of Bordeaux Steak & Seafood, has purchased Highrail from Ken and Lisa Sweet.
Herbert plans to reopen the restaurant under the name Emma’s Breakfast Cafe. The restaurant is named after Herbert’s grandmother and granddaughter. They will serve breakfast only from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
According to Highrail’s Facebook page, they will officially be closing the doors next week – Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
