Seasonings Distributed in Georgia Recalled Over Rodent Feces In Some Samples
Check your spice cabinet. Regal Foods Inc. of Leola, Pennsylvania has voluntarily recalled several seasonings after rodent feces were found in some oregano samples.
The recalled products include:
- Regal Italian Seasoning
- Regal Oregano Leaves
- Regal Taco Seasoning
- Regal Herbs & Garlic
- Regal Fajita Seasoning
- Regal Herbs De Provence
- Regal Pasta Herb
- Regal Blackening Seasoning
The recall was issued July 20, 2023 and is ongoing, according to the Food and Drug Administration. The recalled products were distributed in Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
Anyone who purchased the recalled products should dispose of them and not consume them. The Class II recall means the use of the recalled product could cause temporary or permanent adverse health consequences, or that the probability of serous adverse health consequences is remote, according to the FDA.
