Club Car Expanding, Adding New Facility in Appling
Club Car announced today it’s expanding in Columbia County and will be building a 105,000 square foot facility in Appling.
The global leader in golf, consumer and utility vehicles will construct the new facility in White Oak Industrial Park. This is near an existing Club Car facility that opened in 2019. The additional space at the new facility in Appling will be used to support warehousing and manufacturing functions. It’s expected to be finished and open in December this year.
“Club Car has a long-standing relationship with Columbia County, and we value the investments that Club Car continues to make to expand and manufacture world class golf cars and utility vehicles in Columbia County,” said Rick Evans, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Development Authority of Columbia County.
Club Car has an over 60 year history in the design and production of small-wheel vehicles, becoming the leading manufacturer of gas and electric golf, utility and personal transportation vehicles.
Club Car started out in Houston, Texas in 1958, but was moved to Augusta in 1962 where it is still headquartered.
Club Car is the official golf car of the PGA of America, PGA Tour Tournament Players Club (TPC) Network and European Tour. The company also actively supports US Kids Golf and the First Tee.
“Club Car is a great community partner. We are excited and thankful for their continued growth in Columbia County,” said Chairman Doug Duncan, Chairman of the Columbia County Board of Commissioners.
