Special Sweet Holiday Products To Celebrate The 20th Anniversary Of ‘Elf’
First of all, can you believe the movie Elf is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year? It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. But to celebrate, Mrs. Butterworth’s (a brand of Conagra Brands, Inc.) has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. These Mrs. Butterworth’s Elf products will be available throughout the holiday season in grocery stores, mass retailers, and online.
Mrs. Butterworth’s Elf Products
The two products being released are the limited-edition “Elf”-themed Sugar Cookie Pancake Mix Kit and a special design of the bottle of Original Breakfast Syrup.
This partnership and fun holiday products make perfect sense if you’ve ever seen the film. The movie is full of holiday fun and humor. And of course, sugar-filled, since Buddy the Elf even lists “Syrup” as on of the four food groups.
Lucy Brady, President, Grocery and Snacks, for Conagra Brands says the products are meant to embody Buddy’s spirit, and “Our new ‘Elf’-themed Sugar Cookie Pancake Mix Kit and specially-bottled Syrup are treats that we’re sure Buddy the Elf would love.”
Syrup Bottle
While it is still the thick, original recipe for Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup, it will come in a commemorative bottle. The bottle design has a silhouette of Buddy the Elf against an outline of New York City. Buddy the Elf’s silhouette stands as the ‘L’ in ‘elf” on the bottle.
Sugar Cookie Pancakes
These new sugar cookie pancakes are perfect for some sweet holiday fun. The Mrs. Butterworth’s “Elf” Sugar Cookie Pancake Mix Kit includes the pancake mix, frosting, and red and green sprinkles. It comes inside a special edition box too. The pancakes are ready in just minutes and only require adding water. And of course, you’ll want to pair it with Mrs. Butterworth’s Syrup… and why not pick up that special “Elf”-themed bottle?
The “Elf” Sugar Cookie Pancake Mix Kit has a suggested retail price of $6.99. The special bottle of syrup has a suggested retail price of $4.19.
Will Ferrell's 5 Most Feral Roles
Will Ferrell is one of the most iconic leading men in comedy. Born and raised in California, Ferrell used comedy as a way to make friends as a youth in suburbia. In his senior year of high school, he and a friend would perform comedy skits over the school’s intercom system (with cooperation from the principal). Ferrell also performed comedic skits in the school’s talent shows and was voted “Best Personality.” In 1991, his mother encouraged him to pursue his passions, so he moved to Los Angeles. He successfully auditioned for the comedy group The Groundlings, where he spent time developing his improvisation skills.
SNL and Beyond
A producer for Saturday Night Live saw Ferrell in the improv group. During a time when SNL was declining in popularity in 1994 and 1995, Ferrell was asked alongside two other members to audition for the sketch comedy show to audition for Lorne Michaels. He nailed it, joining SNL in 1995 and stayed on for seven years. He has hosted the show five times, becoming a member of the show’s Five-Timers Club. During his time on SNL, Ferrell appeared in a multitude of comedy movies: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, A Night at the Roxbury, Superstar, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Zoolander.
Continuing to land comedy roles like Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Starsky & Hutch he earned a place among Hollywood’s Frat Pack (usually considered to include Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Jack Black, Paul Rudd, and Vince Vaughn). When he starred in the now-iconic fan-favorite Step Brothers with frequent collaborator John C. Reilly in 2008, viewers were either unamused by the duo, or loved their crazy antics. We are the latter. With 128 acting credits under his belt now, with nine upcoming projects, Ferrell is also a writer and producer. He can next be seen in the Barbie movie, coming out in theaters Friday, July 21.
