There is a new development in the works in North Augusta known as Beacon Bluff. The development is bringing new restaurants, retail shops, and apartments to downtown North Augusta. It's located right off of Georgia Avenue across from City Hall. And there was a recent press conference that announced a new tenant joining the development: Brinkley's Tavern.

Brinkley's Tavern - A New Dining Experience

Brinkley's Tavern has plans to open in Beacon Bluff in February 2025. The new dining experience is a concept developed by Brinkley's Restaurant Group, the team behind Brinkley's Chop House.

The tavern is Southern-inspired with plans to serve poultry and Creole seafood. The menu will also feature some Southern classics with a modern twist, courtesy of Brinkley's culinary team.

Brinkley's Tavern, once open, will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week. And with a large bar, they hope to become known as "North Augusta's living room."

About Beacon Bluff

Beacon Bluff is a mixed development that will house restaurants, retail space, professional space, and apartments. It's just across from the Municipal building on Georgia Avenue. The name comes from a tower or beacon, that was included in the building plans to set the building apart. In addition to the tenants, there will also be a courtyard for people walking, running, or cycling on the Greeneway to enjoy.

One retail space hosted its soft opening on Thursday, June 20, 2024, after the press conference. Fleet Feet opened for business and hosted its Thursday run after the ribbon cutting. This is the second location for Fleet Feet, whose first store is located on Furys Ferry Road in Augusta.

In addition to Brinkley's Tavern, we also know that Melty, a restaurant that specializes in grilled cheese sandwiches, is going to be part of the new Beacon Bluff development. The last report says Melty is expected to open this Summer.
