Annually, May 22 is recognized as National Craft Distillery Day. This national day aims to raise awareness of craft distilleries that produce spirits in small batches - rather than big brand names. Local distilleries in Augusta continue to grow in popularity.
Apart of celebrating National Craft Distillery Day is having a glass of handcrafted spirits locally. But that's only if you're over the age of 21! The cool part about being local to Augusta, is there are a couple of distilleries in the area.
Here is a list of distilleries and breweries in the CSRA.
2nd City Distilling Co.
This is Augusta's first distillery. There's tours, tastings, and homegrown libations! They also have a second location in Edgefield, SC called Carolina Moon Distillery .
They even host Goat Yoga!
Carolina Moon Distillery
Before there was Second City Distilling Co. there was Carolina Moon Distillery. They distill, bottle, and package all products by hand at the location.
Brewery vs Distillery
