The Salvation Army Of Augusta

In 1890, The Salvation Army began work in Georgia. While growth in Atlanta was slow, by April 1891, the second official Corps in Georgia opened in Augusta. By the 1900s, the organization had spread around the world, meeting the needs of people in the community.

Through the years, The Salvation Army has continually expanded its program. In addition to gathering food for the needy, they have grown to host camps for underprivileged kids, shelters, assistance programs, Christmas programs, help for the homeless, veteran services, and so much more.

The services provided by The Salvation Army are in great demand and are dependent on donations and support from the communities they serve.
