UPDATED: COVID-19 Protocol Announced For Masters

We are all excited that the Masters returns to Augusta National this year, at it’s normal time. And while they will be welcoming some patrons back on the grounds, things will look somewhat different this year, according to our friends at WJBF.
Like many places, Augusta National is making health and safety a top priority. This does mean limited attendance, along with some additional protocols to ensure the safety of all patrons, golfers and employees alike. They have a full list of protocols for patrons attending on their website, Masters.com. Here’s a quick run down of what to expect starting Thursday 8.
Testing:

NEW INFORMATION: Patrons with Practice Round Tickets, Daily Tournament Tickets and Series Badges are NOT required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.Although it’s not required, it is recommended to take a test before coming to Augusta.
This information does NOT apply to other patron groups.
Face Coverings:
- Face coverings will also be a requirement at all times unless you’re eating or drinking.
- Approved coverings: Cloth, KN95, N95, Surgical
- NOT permitted: Neck gaiters, bandanas, masks with ventilators, and face shields without a permitted face covering underneath.
Social Distancing:
- Patrons must maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet. It’s also recommended to limit contact with anyone outside of your party.
Hand washing:
- Frequent handwashing is recommended. Hand-sanitizing stations will also be available. Also, avoid touching your face, high-contact surfaces and person-to-person physical contact.
The Club will also be using contactless payments. You are also advised to stay home if you are feeling ill.
The attendance is limited, and anyone who is eligible to attend this year should have already been contacted.
