CSRA News: First Round of Augusta National Women’s Amateur Underway
The first round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur is underway at Champions Retreat in Evans.
Seventy two women make up the international field, with the first group teeing off at 8:30 this morning. The second round is scheduled to be played Thursday at Champions Retreat. All eyes will be on the weather with heavy rain and thunderstorms in the forecast.
Friday is a practice day for the ladies at the Augusta National, where the final round will be played on Saturday. NBC will have live coverage starting at noon.
The kid’s Drive, Chip and Putt contest is Sunday, then the first round of practice for the 86th Masters gets underway on Monday.

“Cody” Blaine Jackson is one half of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on Kicks 99, and also serves as the Digital Program Director for Beasley Media Group in Augusta.
