Pineapple Habanero and Black Bean Spicy Gouda
The special SunChips have two flavors designed to mirror bright sunny skies and the cheesy moon.
If you can get your hands on them, the chips will come in a limited edition 2024 bag that even comes with the endorsement of astronaut Kellie Gerardi.
“As a researcher and astronaut with a love for all things space, I can’t wait to celebrate this exciting event with SunChips. Total solar eclipses are rare and special events, and I hope people can take a moment out of their busy daily life to pause and enjoy the incredible sight,” said Gerardi.
SunChips Will Offer a Giveaway Just for the Duration of the Eclipse
Here’s where you’ll have to act fast. During the 4 minutes and 27 seconds of the total solar eclipse on April 8, SunChips will give aways bags of the special edition snack while supplies last.
When the eclipse starts at 2:33 pm in the southwestern U.S., you can go visit SunChipsSolarEclipse.com to try to snag a bag. If you log onto the website now, it will tell you to come back at 1:33 pm CT on 4/8/24 to enter for a chance to win a bag and an eclipse swag kit. They’ll even send you a reminder if you enter your email address.
Where Can You Get Special Glasses to Safely View the Eclipse
Websites like GreatAmericanEclipse.com and NationalEclipse.com sell glasses specifically designed for protecting eyes while viewing the eclipse. They block nearly all visible, infrared and ultraviolet light.
MyEyeDr, a network of eye care providers offering glasses, contacts and other services, is giving out free solar eclipse glasses at 438 locations across the country, while supplies last.
The solar eclipse glasses are also available at many stores including Walmart, Amazon and Lowe’s.
