This Georgia Haunted House Gives Major Thrills and Chills
One Georgia haunted house is being celebrated for having some of the best thrills and chills of any in America. Halloween is a super popular holiday, and it seems as if we’re celebrating earlier and earlier every year. I’m not mad about it. I love Halloween but also love summer, so it’s a bittersweet thing for me.
Georgia Haunted House Named One of the Best in the U.S.
The experts at Parade.com have put together a tally of the best haunted houses in the country, including one Georgia haunted house. “It might be summer, but it’s never too early to get excited for some haunts and thrills when fall comes around,” they state. “Going to a haunted house—whether you go on Halloween night or in the days leading up to October 31—is a classic Halloween tradition, especially among teens and young adults.”
Looking at some of the biggest spots in the major meccas of America, Blood Manor in New York City is one to watch. The “massive 5,000-square-foot haunted attraction” features a bunch of themed rooms that are guaranteed to scare you silly. In California, a state known for their Hollywood scares, Reign of Terror Haunted House in Thousand Oaks is a top pick. This haunted attraction features more than 100 rooms. “So when you’re done with one room, you’ll be immediately transported to another haunted adventure,” which makes it extra scary. Granted, both of those haunted attractions are far away, but if you happen to be in New York or California this fall, they might be worth checking out.
So, which Georgia haunted house has been named one of the best haunted houses in America? It’s the famed Netherworld Haunted House in Stone Mountain. You shouldn’t be surprised, because this is a popular spot every Halloween. Netherworld Haunted House has actually been around since 1997, so we’re talking decades. “This Stone Mountain attraction has professional-quality special effects, costumes, and sets that will have you a screamin’ good time,” Parade.com states. Also, if you’re interested in working at Netherworld this season or any upcoming season, they hire in a range of fields, including photo, costuming, food services, make-up, parking lot attendees and much more. On their website, they’re promoting hiring right now, but if you’re reading this article too late in the season, make note for next year. This Georgia haunted house is located just off Exit 9 of HWY 78 at 1313 Netherworld Way in Stone Mountain, so it’s easy to find. I say, go if you dare, of course.
