Gisele Bündchen, the famous supermodel who graced countless magazines and walked numerous runways decided to put her modeling career on hold. The reason? She’ll soon welcome the newest addition to her growing family.
Gisele Bündchen’s Shift in Priorities
Per TMZ, Bündchen “has put work on pause until after she gives birth to her baby with Joaquim Valente.” The coming baby will be Bündchen’s third child after her son Benjamin and daughter Vivian with her ex-husband, former professional football quarterback, now, sports commentator for Fox Sports, Tom Brady. She also became a stepmom to Brady’s son with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Bündchen met Valente, a jiu-jitsu instructor and part owner of a martial arts academy, the Valente Brothers when she brought her son to a class published by Dust magazine. “Initially, I wasn’t even considering it for myself. But when I brought [her son] to the first class and started talking to Joaquim, I realized that it was much more than self-defense.”

Bündchen’s absence during the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show even with the attendance of her peers, Kate Moss and Tyra Banks, is now understandable. People reported that she and Valente are expecting their first child together two weeks after the show.
Life in Miami
A source also told People that Bündchen’s happy and enjoying her life in Miami. “She’s excited about the baby and feels good. She’s several months along and planning a home birth.” The source continued, “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family.”
Brady’s Reaction
Brady did not yet address Gisele Bündchen’s pregnancy directly, but a source told Page Six that Brady was “stunned” to find out and that he “never imagined” she would have a baby with Valente. “Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin, but he never imagined they would be having a child together. It just wasn’t something that was on his radar. So, when Gisele broke the news to him, he was stunned, to say the least.”
The only reaction Brady shared publicly about the pregnancy is the cryptic post of a sunset pic he uploaded to his Instagram stories with the lyrics to the 2022 Chicks’ cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” and three heart emojis.
However, as reported by Yahoo! Entertainment, Brady will accept his ex’s child the same way Bündchen accepted his son. “Back in the day when they started to fall in love, she accepted and loved his son that he already had, so he is going to give the same respect to her future child. At the end of the day, everyone is still family,” the source said.
