Veterans Day Discounts and Freebies – 2024
Veterans Day is a day observed to thank and honor veterans who served our country. It’s a day to show appreciation for those who sacrificed and contributed to the safety of our nation. In honor of their service, many restaurants and businesses offer discounts or freebies for veterans and active-duty service members.

Veterans Day Restaurant Deals
- Applebee’s: Participating locations are offering a free meal from a select menu on November 11 for veterans and active-duty military personnel. This is for dine-in only.
- Chili’s: Veterans and active-duty military members can get a free meal at participating restaurants on November 11. This is dine-in only for select items. Military ID is required to redeem the offer.
- Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers: Veterans and active-duty military members can receive a meal card for a free combo meal of their choice on November 11. The card can be redeemed through December 31, 2024.
- Golden Corral: On November 11, Golden Corral hosts their Military Appreciation Night from 5 p.m. to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.
- Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a complimentary Red’s Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Side when dining in. Valid at participating restaurants on November 11.
- Shane’s Rib Shack: On November 11, active-duty and veteran military personnel can get a free BBQ pork or chopped BBQ chicken plate. Must have proof of service. Valid in-store only and at participating locations. Get more info here.
- Starbucks: On November 11, veterans, military service members, and military spouses can receive a free tall (12-ounce) brewed coffee (hot or iced) at participating locations.
- Texas Roadhouse: At participating restaurants, active-duty military and veterans can dine in or receive a meal voucher on November 11 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. with military ID. Vouchers are good for dine-in or carry-out at a later time and are good through May 30, 2025. For those dining in on November 11 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., there will be a select menu to order from for a free meal.
Veterans Day Retail Deals
- Academy Sports + Outdoors: In-store and online, active-duty and veterans get 10% off their entire purchase between October 20 through November 11.
- Rack Room Shoes: Military personnel and their dependents can get 20% off their entire purchase on November 11.
- Sports Clips: Participating locations will provide free haircuts to veterans and active-duty service members on Veterans Day. In addition, they’ll donate $2 for every paid haircut service on November 11.
- Target: From October 27 through November 11, active-duty, veterans, and their families can get a 10% military discount. The discount can be used on 2 transactions, in-store or online.
- Tractor Supply Company: On November 11, active-duty and veterans can get a 10% discount. To use the discount, you must complete the Hometown Heroes verification process through Neighbor’s Club.
- Vitamin Shoppe: Active-duty and veterans get 25% off on November 11. This is valid in-store only.
Travel Deals For Veterans
- Red Roof: Active-duty military, veterans, and their families receive 15% off their stay at any Red Roof Inn, Red Roof PLUS+, HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof, or The Red Collection when they book and stay between October 11 and November 14.
- Super 8 by Wyndham: Eligible service members can save 15% on the Best Available Rate at participating Super 8 by Wyndham hotels in the U.S. and Canada.
- Wyndham Hotels & Resorts: Eligible service members can save up to 15% off the Best Available Rate at participating hotels across the U.S. and Canada.
