‘Tiger King’ Season 2 Returns to Netflix This Year
Netflix has announced that its hit documentary series Tiger King will be returning for a second season later in 2021.
The first season hit streaming just as the COVID-19 pandemic began, and quickly became a huge word-of-mouth success
There isn’t too much information about the upcoming second season, other than Netflix teasing in their trailer that it will bring “just as much mayhem and madness as Season 1.”

One Twitter user hilariously showed what it was like for Netflix execs to get the guards in Joe Exotic’s prison to wake him up for footage for the new series.

Netflix hasn’t announced a release date or shared a trailer yet for the forthcoming season, but they have included other upcoming true crime documentaries in their teaser, including The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman, The Tinder Swindler, Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King and Bad Vegan — all debuting in 2022.
Given that Joe Exotic, 58, is currently in federal prison, it’ll be interesting to see what parts of the story Netflix is focusing on in the upcoming second season. In the teaser, we see a Joe Exotic plane, followed by the man himself seemingly on the phone from prison smiling at a web camera.
