Government Closures
Both Georgia and South Carolina have declared a State of Emergency.
- Currently, State Government Offices in Allendale and Barnwell Counties will close at 1 p.m. today.
- No other government closures in South Carolina are reported at this time.
- Public Transportation in Aiken County will NOT operate.
- No government closures reported for Georgia at this time.

Due to severe weather projected in Richmond County, the College Board has rescheduled the SAT from October 1 to October 15. Check the College Board website for more information.
Emanuel County:
Emanuel County schools will be closed on Friday.
Jenkins County:
Jenkins County schools will be closed on Friday.
Glascock County:
Glascock County schools will have no school or school activities on Friday.
Johnson County:
Johnson County schools will e-learn on Friday.
Burke County:
Burke County Schools after school activities are canceled today and all schools and departments are closed Friday.
Jefferson County:
Jefferson County Schools are closed Friday, and no after school activities.
McDuffie County:
McDuffie County schools are closed Friday.
Screven County:
Screven County schools are closed Friday.
Columbia County:
South Carolina Schools
Aiken County:
Update 09/30/2022 at 11 a.m. Administration of the SAT at South Aiken High School (previously scheduled for tomorrow, October 1) has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 15.
Aiken County students and staff will have operate remotely on Friday. Students should have their laptops when they leave schools today, and remote assignments downloaded to the device.
With risk of power outages, please ensure devices are fully charged ahead of the storm.
Allendale County:
Allendale County schools are learning from home both today and Friday.
Orangeburg County:
Orangeburg County schools will have early release today, with dismissal times varying by grade level. Remote learning on Friday.
Bamberg County:
Bamberg County schools will release at 11 a.m. today, and e-learn on Friday.
Lexington County:
Lexington County School District's 1 and 2 will move to remote learning on Friday.
Barnwell County:
Barnwell County schools will have early release today.
Mead Hall Episcopal School closed Friday.

Aiken County Canceled Events
The Aiken County Farmers Market will be closed. The Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame is closed this weekend, and there will be no Historic Trolley Tour. The community dog walk has also been canceled.
