Fall Foliage Steps In For Azaleas as Unusual Masters Week Begins
What an unusual year 2020 has been. We’ve seen virtually every element of our lives changed in some way, and the Masters experience here in Augusta is no different. But no matter all the changes and adjustments, there’s still something magical about Monday at the Masters.
It’s hard to know what to expect from Augusta National Golf Club this week. There are no fans allowed on the grounds. Even the media presence will be minimal. A tropical storm is brewing in the Gulf of Mexico that looks like it may impact at least Wednesday’s conditions. That’s certainly never happened during a Masters week.
But as The Masters folks unveiled in their kickoff tweet for the week, somebody’s life will still change this week. It may not be in front of any fans, but it won’t change the magic of the moment.
