Most Popular Netflix Shows In Georgia and South Carolina in 2022

Streaming has continued to rise in popularity over the past few years. And with so many TV shows and movies, viewers have endless options to choose from. According to Bookies.com, viewers consumed millions of hours of TV shows across the country.  So the question is, what were the most popular Netflix shows in Georgia and South Carolina this year?

Bookies.com set out to determine the most popular Netflix shows in each state. To do this, they used Google Trends to find the most searched shows in each state.  They filtered their search to “Netflix”, the state, and “2022”.

The Most Popular Netflix Shows

Overall, it seems Peaky Blinders was the top show in 14 states.  But, that wasn’t the most popular Netflix show for Georgia or South Carolina.

In Georgia, the top spot was given to “Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”. And the fact that the limited series didn’t even drop until September makes it more surprising that it was the most popular. This was the most popular in 12 different states, including Florida, Texas, and California.

But South Carolina prefers a different show.  Coming in the top spot here was “Better Call Saul”.  There were 11 states where this show was the most popular.  Its final season aired on Netflix, and Bookies.com claims it was arguably television’s biggest show of the year. But they believe it wasn’t higher on the popularity list due to the final season not being available on more streaming services.

Netflix is celebrating its 25th anniversary today (August 29). Originally starting out in 1997 as a DVD rental service via mail, offering members unlimited DVD rentals without due dates, late fees, or monthly rental limits.

Ten years later in 2007, Netflix adapted and joined streaming, marking the start of binge-watching. Orange Is the New Black, House of Cards, Arrested Development and Hemlock Grove are the first slate of original series programming in 2013 and since then, the streaming giant has put out some of the best television to date.
