Is Cheddars Scratch Kitchen in Augusta Closing?
“Cheddars going out of business…the last day is July 23.(FH)”
This is the viral Facebook post that caused many people to believe that the restaurant chain, in all 28 operating states, would be gone by this Sunday, July 23. Including the Augusta location.
So the question still remains, is the Cheddars Augusta location closing its doors this Sunday?
The answer is No.
From what we know Augusta’s location is still up and operating and has not said anything about an upcoming permanent closure.
But there is a location that will be closing for sure on July 23, which is in Fairview Heights, Illinois. Assuming from the Facebook post that is what the (FH) stood for.
The restaurant has made no official announcement that the entire Cheddars chain is going out of business.
While they have had a few closings over the years, they have also have had some recent openings. Tennessee on July 3 and Utah on July 17, and a future opening in Florida Cheddar’s is scheduled to open on July 31.
