Christmas Light Fight Returns to Columbia County
Get ready to deck the halls…and your house for the return of Columbia County’s Christmas Light Fight.
At least six houses are needed to participate in the contest. Get the Christmas decorations out of the attic, untangle all those Christmas lights and register to participate in the contest by Friday, November 3.
The first ten people to register will go head-to-head in a competition to determine who has the biggest, brightest and best Christmas light display in Columbia County.
A crew will come to your house at a pre-arranged time to capture a video of you flipping the switch on your holiday light display that will be available for viewing on the Columbia County, GA-GovernmentColumbia County, GA-Government Facebook page. In addition, all participating houses will be listed on Columbia County’s Christmas Light map.
The videos will be published to Facebook Thursday, December 4 and voting will be open for two weeks before three finalists are announced. The winner of the Christmas Light Fight will be announced on Wednesday, December 20 and will receive a winter surprise package.

The inaugural Christmas Light Fight was held in 2021 with the James Smith family winning top honors. The display featured more than 65,000 lights, inflatables and music. Smith said neighbors even joined in setting up the holiday display.
