Georgia Is In The Top Ranking Of States That Spend The Most Money During Christmas
It is officially the holiday season and the holiday shopping has begun! Receiving gifts and giving gifts to one another is always such a special moment, but sometimes when is enough with Christmas shopping?
According to recent data, there are 10 states go that all out for Christmas shopping, and not just any shopping but online shopping! Could this have to do with Cyber Monday kicking off the holiday shopping?
Online shopping over these couple of years has become the go-to for many. It eliminates the hassle of getting out in the cold weather and traffic. The major difference is you don’t get your product right away and you will most likely have to pay a shipping fee.
The study was done by The Lazy Trader, a financial publisher. They took search data from December 2019, 2020,2021, and 2022 and combined it by using the average monthly search volumes – for terms such as ‘Christmas gifts for women’ and ‘Christmas gifts for dad’ – were considered per 100,000 people to determine the states most likely to spend the most money online this December
Georgia made its way in the top 10 states spending the most money online at Christmas. Now it didn’t take the number one spot – New Jersey did. From the last four years of information gathered New Jersey has been searching for gift-related terms an average of 1,688 times per 100,000 people. ‘Christmas gift ideas’ is the most searched-for term in the state, with 3,764 average monthly searches in total from residents.
Following behind them is Massachusetts. In the state, there were 1,633 average monthly searches for gift-related ideas per 100,000 people over the last four December.
Georgia ranked number 10 with, there were 1,417 average monthly searches for gift-related ideas per 100,000 people over the last four Decembers.
