That’s right! This steakhouse chain restaurant, Steak and Ale, might be making a comeback to the CSRA.
After going bankrupt back in 2008 and being closed for over a decade nationwide, Steak and Ale has been getting ready to make its return. The restaurant was a casual dining spot known for its steaks, salad bar, beer, wine, and Tudor-style décor.
What Does This Have To Do With Augusta?
Well once upon a time, a Steak and Ale Restaurant was located on Washington Road in front of the Big Tree Shopping Center in the 90’s.
With plans to reopen Steak and Ale restaurants again in the United States, this could be one of the cities it makes its return to. There has been no official word on it coming back to Augusta but with many foodies anticipating its return, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see it back. But, Specific details on when and where the first of these new locations are available.
The first new Steak and Ale restaurant to open in 15 years will be located in a Wyndham hotel on Nicollet Avenue in Burnsville, Minnesota. The restaurant will be operated by a franchisee, encompass 6,000 square feet, and seat roughly 220 customers. The Minnesota restaurant will start serving guests in April 2024.
With a 15 location deal in the Midwest, the restaurant will also expand Steak and Ale in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Dakota – but no date on when that would be.
Will It Be Like The Original Steak and Ale?
The restaurant will have some similarities like like the Tudor-style decor, original logo, and salad bar.
The menu will also include some classic fan-favorite menu items like the Kensington Club, Hawaiian Chicken, Steak Oscar, and baby back ribs, as well as some old fan favorites that have been reimagined.
