Georgia Has More Mansions Than Most States
In basic terms, a large and luxurious home is a loose definition of a mansion. Realtor.com believes a good benchmark is that the house should be at least 5,000 square feet in order to qualify as a mansion. Money Talks News recently named the states that have the most mansions in the country, and Georgia made the list.
“In 1949, the size of single-family homes was an average of 909 square feet. In 2021, it was 2,480,” they explained.
Now, “According to first quarter 2023 data from the Census Quarterly Starts and Completions by Purpose and Design and NAHB analysis, median single-family square floor area registered at 2,261 square feet,” Eye On Housing detailed.
In Utah, the average home size is 2,800 square feet. This makes the Beehive State the region with the most large homes in America.
Georgia Ranks 6th
“The average home size in this state: 2,262 square feet.” Money Talks News states. In addition, World Population Review lists Fayetteville as the area that has the largest mansions in Georgia.
What is fascinating here is that this does not necessarily translate to Georgia being one of the most expensive housing markets. In fact, in Norada Real Estate Investment’s most recent report last week that detail the priciest real estate areas in the country for 2023, Georgia is not named at all. “The United States has a diverse housing market with varying prices depending on the state and region,” they said.
Georgia is among just three states in the eastern region of the country that contains the most mansions. Most of these large housing areas are on the west coast. After Utah claiming the top spot, Colorado and Idaho round out the top three. Then, Wyoming ranks fourth before the east coast is represented. Surprisingly, it’s Delaware coming in at number five according to Money Talks News, as the first state in the east that has the largest amount of large houses.
Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel
A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. “Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now,” they explain.
In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.
Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.
“If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in,” Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.
Live A Little Chatt – Rising Fawn, Georgia
Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. “It’s evident that each was built with love and intention,” Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.
Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That’s where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.
Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. “We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately.” Live A Little Chatt says.
