River Watch Brewery To Close Mid April
Almost last call for beers at River Watch Brewery as they are set to close on April 19.
After the last brewery went down in Augusta, Georgia during prohibition, a brewery never came back, until River Watch stepped in.
The brewery has been in business for nine years. When a lot of local businesses across the nation were struggling throughout the pandemic, they were able to stay afloat.
The company is owned by the Sloan family. Brey Sloan got into the brewing business studying brewing technology at the World Brewing Academy. She has been able to enjoy beer all around the globe.
Anne Sloan started her career as a marine biologist and now is a beer enthusiast!
The Brewery is currently located off Fourth Street in Downtown Augusta and they have been trying to find a new location for a while. The latest location move failed and it left the brewery company to come to this point.
Some other factors that have gone into the call for closing are the number of customers being down and the company no longer having big enough equipment to do distribution leaving them in a hard position.

About the River Watch Brewery
River Watch Brewery started as an old warehouse on the Farmers Market which was then transformed into a small production company.
Today the Brewery is known for its three core brews in addition to limited releases and experimental brews.
The brewing company also offers guided tours on Saturdays at 3 and 6. What a sight to see! Unlike other establishments, River Watch allowed customers to bring in outside food.
The Sloan family will be moving on to other things once the doors of the River Watch Brewery close for good.
