Starting June 12, 2023, Chick-fil-A is bringing back the Spicy Chicken Biscuit as a permanent addition to their breakfast menu.

The biscuit has a breakfast portion of boneless breast of chicken that’s seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers on the classic Chick-fil-A buttermilk biscuit.  Back in 2016, Chick-fil-A discontinued the Spicy Chicken Biscuit to add other items to the menu.  Some markets did reintroduce it but as of June 12th, it’ll be available at all stores.

New Summer Menu Items At Augusta Restaurants

• Jimmy John's

  Jimmy John’s is bringing back an item for summer: their wraps!  But they are also adding a spicy variety to the line-up as well.  The returning items are the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Thai Chicken Wrap.  The new item is the Jalapeno Ranch Chicken Wrap.  This wrap has chicken, provolone cheese, jalapeno ranch, crispy jalapenos, and red pepper flakes.  It’s all wrapped up in a flour tortilla.
  

• Buffalo Wild Wings

  There are two limited-edition sauces being added to the menu at Buffalo Wild Wings.  You’ve got General Tso’s and Sweet Chili Lime.

  The General Tso’s sauce features crushed red pepper and chile de arbol.  The Sweet Chili Lime sauce is a blend of honey, chile, and line.

  The Chief Market Officer at Buffalo Wild Wings, Tristan Meline, says, “Our new limited-edition General Tso’s and Sweet Chile Lime sauces embody the perfect fusion of sweet, spicy, and savory that’s perfect to enjoy throughout the summer.”

• Sonic Drive-In

  Sonic’s new summer treat is the Shortcake Snowball Slush Float.  The float is a blend of strawberries and shortcake that’s topped with vanilla ice cream and sugary crystals.

  It’s described as being reminiscent of the strawberry shortcake many enjoy in the summer, but “with an innovative twist.”

• Metro Diner

  Metro Diner is celebrating National Burger Month and adding three new burgers to the menu!  There’s the Barbecue Bacon Burger, the Black and Bleu Burger, and the Pimento Cheeseburger.
  

• 7-Eleven

  While we don’t have any around the Augusta area, there are some 7-Eleven stores in South Carolina if you’re willing to drive a bit.  For summer, 7-Eleven is bringing back wings.  And they’ve got a glazed barbecue variety with a smoky-sweet glaze.  The wings are available bone-in or in a breaded boneless variety.

• Popeyes

  There’s a menu item returning to Popeyes’ menu… but this one isn’t just for summer.  It’s going to be a permanent addition.  It’s the Blackened Chicken Sandwich. This sandwich will be the first permanent addition to Popeyes’ chicken sandwich lineup since they launched it back in 2019.

  The sandwich features a whole chicken breast that’s been marinated for 12 hours.  It’s seasoned with a blend of Cajun spices and served on a warm, toastesd buttery brioche bun.  It’s topped with classic or spicy mayo and pickles.

  Popeyes is also giving chicken sandwich lovers a way to level up their sandwiches with a new Bacon and Cheese add-on option that starts at $1.50.
  

• McDonald's

  McDonald’s has announced they are celebrating Grimace’s birthday with a special Grimace Birthday Meal.  The meal comes with your choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, along with a side of fries.  It also comes with a limited-edition purple shake.  This special meal is available starting June 12th at participating locations while supplies last.

• Wendy's

  It’s back for a limited time only!  The Summer Strawberry Salad is available at Wendy’s.  The salad is made with sun-ripened, hand-picked strawberries, juicy grilled chicken, crisp Applewood smoked bacon, a Tuscan cheese blend, and drizzled with a sweet, tangy Champagne Vinaigrette dressing.
